Description
The VILLAGE DO PORTOMARTIÑO has become rehabilitated with an ecoturismo concept, to enjoy in contact with the natureza and to discover Serra's do landscape Suido and Serra do Cando that is part of NET NATURE 2000.
It is located beside the river Xesta, in the exceptional landscape of "Carballeira of Xesta", the Atlantic biggest forest in the interior of Pontevedra.
From the village they can be carried out several senderismo routes: the Route gives Freixa (PRG24), Route two Chozos, Foxo do Wolf, and to visit the cascades of Liñares and Fírveda or the fluvial beach of the Grasslands.
For those fond of the fishing exist in the area several fishing limits. To 15 Km., in the reservoir of Eiras, they have facilities and material to practice piragüismo. Activities of senderismo, horsy, BTT, parapente... they have in these mountains an ideal environment.
It is located 30 Km. of Pontevedra, one of the more beautiful and better conserved cities of Galicia.
